medicalstudies:

Initially, in 1999 when Mr. Cassone contacted the UNLV for assistance, the university was justifiably skeptical, but agreed to visit the Medsonix center. After their meeting, one of the lead investigators, Carolyn S. Witt received a Medsonix treatment. She experienced an immediate and sustained relief from arthritis. Then after confirming that no major studies have ever been conducted on the medical effects of low-frequency acoustics, the university was compelled to conduct to two pilot studies.
The first study, which began in 2000 and was published in 2002, was on the effects of low-frequency acoustics on peripheral vascular diseases. Though pilot study samplings are small in comparison to major pharmaceutical studies, after exposing participants to a low-frequency acoustic wave for 25 minutes, the results of the pre- and post- intervention Doppler ultrasound measurements confirmed an increased blood flow in all arteries of the legs and significantly in four arteries with all participants. Additionally, there were no negative side-effects and interestingly, a number of beneficial side-effects.
The second pilot study investigated the effects of low-frequency acoustics on osteoarthritis. The results suggest low-frequency acoustic energy improves the range of motion and decreases pain.
The technology is also undeniably safe. Over the last decade there have been absolutely no negative side effects. In fact, in order to conduct university studies, Medsonix was required to retain an independent audiologist to evaluate the sound waves emitted by the Medsonix Therapy System. The independent evaluation confirmed the decibel levels and the 600 hertz emitted by Medsonix, is in fact, harmless to humans.
